During college, I worked every spring break to save up my half of the money needed to set up a modest recording studio with a friend. Originally, I used the equipment to record my college thesis CD. But after graduation, we kept adding to the studio—taking in outside projects and naming it TigerTown (after the old name for the area of Naugatuck in which the studio was located).
I served as the head audio engineer, controlling the board in recording sessions with local bands and musicians. Often times, I even appeared as a guest musician on albums and designed CD packaging for the artists recording there.
After three years, life and location changes forced the closing of TigerTown. But I continue to maintain a small studio—just in case.
TigerTown Website | The archived TigerTown website—which is one of the first I ever designed—contained news about the studio and bands that recorded there, as well as booking info.
